Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow Preview

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

Ready or not Bare Escentuals will be releasing their READY Eyeshadow compacts in October for their fall collection. Now what's special about these shadows is...they are PRESSED! Yes! BE has left the loose shadow galaxy and leaped into the world of pressed mineral shadows.

Let's talk about quality. I admit, I was skeptical about a loose mineral company making pressed anything, but when I swatched these I was utterly amazed. These shadows contain something that BE is calling SeaNutritive Mineral Complex, which essentially reminds us that despite the new product, BE is still in touch with its mineral roots. Also, this SeaNutritive Mineral Complex promises skincare benefits such as depuffing and antioxidant properties along with its smooth creamy texture with maximum  color payoff.

Now a little about the price and variety. There will be 15 duos, which Bare Essentials is calling the "2.0" and 4 quads which are called "4.0". The duos will be $20 and the quads will be $30. Obviously the quads are the better deal (pretty good marketing if you asked me).

This particular quad is called "the truth" and here are the swatches

Overall, I am stoked about these palettes because the quality is amazing. To give you some perspective, the texture of these pressed shadows feel like Kose's Esprique Precious fall collection palettes and somewhat close to Lunasol shadows as well.

I hope you guys enjoyed this little preview. Let me know what you guys think of Bare Escentuals and if you will be purchasing these shadows.

Food Advantures

Tuesday, September 27, 2011

If you follow me on Facebook (if you don't, then you need to...NOW!) Click here  then you would know that I love to take pictures of food. I can truly consider myself a "foodie". That said, I am in no way a critic or have a gifted palate. I just have a passion for food. From picking the ingredient to eating, I enjoy every step of the way, of course eating is still my favorite part. I truly appreciate the chefs and have the utmost respect for them, and I guess that is part of the reason why I love food so much, out of the respect I have for their masterpieces. That is why I'm going to start a "epic noms" tab on my blog! If you are not much of a beauty addict, not to worry, you will love this segment! Epic Noms is dedicated to share with you every ounce of my honesty towards food and their integrity.

I would love for your guys to pass this page on and eat your way to happiness with me!

Airbrush Makeup- Luminess Air

Airbrush makeup has been around for a long time. It was only available to celebrities and professional makeup artists before, but over the last few years companies have made it available to consumers like us.

I know what you are going to say, and I agree. When I hear airbrush makeup I think Temptu or Dinair, because these are really big companies with big budgets for marketing. Although there are other choices. I want to introduce you to Luminess Air (click-able link)

Of course I had to pick the light pink color. The great thing is, unlike the Temptu you can choose your compressor color, which I think is important when are you paying so much for a piece of makeup tool.

This compressor is a one speed compressor, which means it will only do the basic foundation and maybe brows. Nonetheless, it is a great starting airbrush machine. When you press the on/off button there is a blue light underneath that will come on when the machine is on.

The acrylic stand is super awesome for organizing your airbrush makeup and compressor. If you don't want to use it for your airbrush makeup, that's fine too. Use it as a vanity organizer!

Here is the stylus. To learn all about airbrush makeup watch my video! (teaser: will post soon)

The application is super easy. I don't think anyone can mess up especially given the brochure and DVD that comes with the package.

Jenny's Tip: When airbrushing make sure you hold the stylus at least 6 inches away from your face. Also, make sure you pull on the trigger at a continuous rate, and do not use a stop and go method.

Sure this compressor is only one speed and does not have external battery so you have to have an outlet in order for it to work, but remember, it is a consumer product and not made to really work "on the go". I think the only problem I really have is figuring out what shade I am. Fortunately, I guessed the right shade. You can also take a look on the website to determine which foundation to choose.

Airbrush makeup is such a fun concept, and I have been really enjoying learning how to perfect different techniques. Not only will this reduce your application time, it will also reduce the bacterial infections that might cause pimples. Since there are no brushes to clean it is perfect for "lazy" people like me!

I hope this inspired you to at least give airbrush makeup a try. If you do, please let me know how it works out  for you! Please leave me a comment below! I love reading all your comments!

September JewelMint

Sunday, September 25, 2011

I can't believe it is already September! Last time I shared a JewelMint piece was in July.

I really enjoyed these pieces this month. You can purchase all the pieces that I'm about to show you from Jewelmint (clickable link)

The first piece is Krishna Earrings. I cannot get over how elegant these earrings are. Probably the best with a strapless black dress. Definitely a very special piece.

Here is a close up of the earrings. They are quite heavy for my ears, but regardless I love them as they are.
Usually Jewelmint pieces stand alone by themselves, but sometimes they have sets like this one which is a big treat because it is like getting 2 pieces for the prices of one! I love the layered necklace look with the different textures and colors of the chains. The heart earrings also showcases a really nice rose gold color. (Here's to eternity set)

Thank you so much for reading!! All your support means so much to me!

Simple T-Shirt

Thursday, September 22, 2011

I wanted to introduce to you guys this great website called Stylemint. It is a monthly subscription website for nice comfortable T-shirts designed by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

It was such a beautiful day outside so I decided that I would film this one outdoors! It seems like a lot of you didn't like this video. I have no idea why because I put so much work and effort into making this video. Espcially finding someone to film me and change in the park etc. I hope you guys enjoy it. I had a lot of fun recording, and here are so pictures!

Totally thought this was funny! =)

Remember to take time out of your day to just smell the fresh cut grass! (that is if you don't have allergy of course)

No idea what I was thinking about. Maybe why I had to redo the video so many times, since I keep getting tongue tied.

Wore a high bun for the video. Perfect if you have semi-dirty hair or if you just want hair out of your face.

I loved this picture. I have a thing for women putting on earrings, especially wedding photos taken like that. I think the angle is so feminine and pretty.

I hope you guys have a wonderful day and don't forget to appreciate nature! <3
