Happy Black Friday everyone!

I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving! I spent mine with my family and loved ones.
It is such a relieve to be able to put all the work and stress aside for a few days and just focus on the people that matter most. Spending the last few days at home with my family made me really miss my childhood years. I remember how much I would look forward to every Thanksgiving and Christmas, because holidays meant vacation and time off from school!

I admit life isn't as carefree now as before but I enjoy every minute of it. I'm grateful for family, friends and Mr. K.

Lastly, I am grateful for every single one of you out there. Thank you for reading, commenting, following and supporting me.

Let the shopping begin.  This year, I decided that I will share with you weekly sales and promotions with links to the online websites to make your holiday shopping a little more manageable.  In the past years, I have always gone to the actual store and picked out gifts for my family and friends but I think this year I will do most of my shopping online! Please leave me a comment and let me know if this was helpful to you or not.  This way I know if I should continue to do these for you guys in the future. ;)

Recommendation: Topshop, see sale section ;)

Use Ebates for an extra 3% cash back

I have been obsessed with this website lately and probably have a lifetime of arm candy now.  Still, I can't stop looking everyday.

Anniversary at Bazzar by José Andrés

Tuesday, October 16, 2012

Happy Fall season!! Only 2 days until my birthday and I have never experienced a "hot" birthday before. Usually by this time of the year I am happily wearing my coats and boats, but it seems like those will have to wait a little longer in the closet this year.

I wanted to share some pictures from our anniversary back in August. Mr. K had made reservations at The Bazzar by José Andrés in the SLS Hotel (Beverly Hills). It was my second time there and everything tasted phenomenal as usual.

If you ever get  a chance to dine at The Bazzar don't be afraid to sit at the Chef's Table. It is quite the experience to see the chefs in action. I actually prefer that over dinning at a table.

The most amazing part was the dessert bar and the little mini museum. There was even a Tarot card reader for hire in the corner ;)

To Mr. K:
I hope you have enjoyed this journey as much as I have. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and most of all, love. I am grateful beyond words, and so I will end this post with a thank you and I love you. ;)

A Shoe Story

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

Happy Tuesday everyone!

A little odd to be posting on a Tuesday but I really wanted to jump on here and share my experience with a subscription website. I'm sure a lot of you have already heard of it.  Like many shoe subscription websites is a monthly subscription website where members are offered "exclusive" shoes on a monthly basis. Membership fee is $39.95 which is much more affordable than other similar sites. After seeing a few blogger and YouTube vloggers' purchases I decided to give this website a try.

Sarada in black was the first pair I ordered. I was very excited for these because I love suede wrapped wedges. However, when I received it I was truly disappointed. Before I go into details I must clarify what kind of shoes I usually buy/wear.

I love shoes. I think shoes are very important because a good pair of shoes can take you to where you want to go. While comfort is very important; I know fully well that no heels, pumps, or 6 inch wedges will be comfortable for long. With that said I really didn't have unrealistic expectations when I received these shoes. I can usually walk in 3-4 inch heels with no problems. I can't hike a mountain or walk in the city with heels but I am definitely not a heels novice. I buy shoes of all different styles and colors so I really don't have a bias towards one or the other.  My shoe collection consists of 2 categories; comfortable and not so comfortable. Comfortable shoes are everyday shoes like loafers, tennies, workout shoes, sandals,Uggs, and in some cases, wedges.  Not so comfortable shoes are dressier shoes such as pumps, high wedges, and some boots. Why do I even bother buying "uncomfortable" shoes? Well, they are not actually uncomfortable. I just cannot wear them for an extended period of time. Essentially these not so comfortable shoes are for dinners, office work, blog posts, and special occasions.

Whew enough about my shoe philosophies, back to jubfab. When these Saradas arrived I did not even try both shoe on. The 6 inch platform along with the curved toe box was just impossible to even stand in. The actual surface area of the shoe that touches the ground was very small as well, making it even harder to balance every step. Mr. K said these looked "ridiculous".  Sadly, I must agree with him.

I ended up returning these wedges and exchanged them for flats. The process was difficult because I had to actually call and obtain a RMA code. After a 15 minute phone call I received  my return postage in my email inbox and shipping was free.  Then came...

Jalissa the nautical looking flats. I had high hopes for these flats because who doesn't love some navy striped flats? When I received them I was in disbelief! The insole was printed with a third party name not even the standard "just fabulous" logo. The quality of these were so poor I felt like they were made with paper! So I returned these and decided that I've tried enough from this website and I wanted to cancel my "membership" so I would not having to skip every month to avoid charges. I was on the phone again, but this time for over 30 minutes to get a return label and cancel my membership. The representative kept on offering me other incentives so I can stay. It was annoying to say the least.

Overall, I was truly disappointed by the practicality and customer service. I will stick to buying shoes from department stores for now. The quality and lines of designer shoes just cannot be replaced. This is not to say I only buy designer shoes, but my shoe philosophy tells me quality over quantity.

Have any of you tried justfab and how was your experience like? I would love to hear from you guys!

Massive Haul :: Nordstrom, imomoko, Ann Taylor, Zara

Thursday, August 23, 2012

I can't believe it is almost Friday...again!!!

Time flies when you are on vacation! Speaking of vacation I am back on YouTube and of course I started off with a huge haul video!

As many of you have noticed I was recording with a new dslr camera. It does have a very sensitive focus so I apologize for any consistent zooming in and out.  It is just the camera doing its best to focus for you guys.
This video took me about 3 hours to record because the battery went out while I was recording.  Also, the file was massive so in combination with YouTube's famous slower than snail speed uploading rate this video took over 16 hours to upload. I was surprised it made it on YouTube this morning.  I was convinced something would go wrong within those 16 hours with my luck. Fortunately it is up and live!
Many of you asked me for a full product list so I have complied them here for you. Please use them!! Each item will be hyperlinked to the product page.  All you need to do is click on the item and it should take you to the product page.
Before I forget, imomoko has graciously offered my viewers FREE SHIPPING with ANY purchase! Personally I think that is better than 10% off coupon, because I hate paying for shipping. Enough said, here are the codes.
For US delivery address use: "MISOJENNY" at checkout For Canadian delivery address use: "MISOJENNYCA" at checkout free shipping for ANY purchase (no minimum),  expires on September 30th,2012 For all other countries, mention "Misojenny" at notes section of checkout , receive 2 free sheet masks!!!
** I was not sponsored for this video nor will I get compensation with the codes above. They are simply a perk for you! **
Here goes the massive product list! (click on the items to see the product)

An outfit post??! Finally!

I have yet again neglected my blog for a long time, and I must yet again promise that I will try my hardest to keep up the posting to a consistent pace.

Mr. K had planned a nice dinner out for the night. He had notified me a few days ahead so I can plan out my schedule.  Surprisingly, I was a full 2 hours ahead of schedule when I finished getting ready on the day of the dinner. (This rarely happens) So we decided to take a few pictures and share it with you guys. It was a brilliant idea, because I would hate to "waste" a good outfit. ;)

Dress: Banana Republic (similar here )  Belt: Ann Taylor
Bag: Prada               Ring: YSL
Bracelet: Lumiere CollectionShoes: Aldos (old): similar here and here

I rarely ever go for solid color dresses, especially bright color ones. But when I saw this dress I could not pass it up! It originally came with a matching belt but I found it too rigid and uncomfortable so I replaced it with this rope woven belt from Ann Taylor.

Dinner was fantastic and we ended up watching a movie afterwards.
It is easy to feel burned out when you have been  in a relationship for a long time, but no matter how long you have been in the relationship don't forget to "take days off" and just go on a nice date.  Enjoy a movie at the theater instead of going to the Redbox, and remember the you felt "X" years ago about this person when you first fell in love.

Have a great rest of the week!

Weekend Fun and New Pieces on Etsy

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

Happy Monday!!

I'm melting as I am writing this because the air conditioner is broken in the building. Please forgive any delirious writing and/or typos.

I want to share my weekend photos along with a new addition to my Etsy shop

the newest addition: Micro paved skull bracelet (click the link to see more pictures and details)

I usually name all of my jewelry pieces after greek goddesses, but I named this one after a dear friend Jessica. I was fortunate enough to have met her when I first started blogging and YouTube. She is an amazing women with a big heart. I remember the devastating tsunami that hit Japan a few years ago.  In efforts to raise money for the Japan red cross, I hosted a blog sale.  All of the proceeds went to the Japan Red Cross and we raised over $800! I couldn't have done this without good friends from the blog and YouTube world, and Jessica was one of them.  She donated many of the items from the blog sale.

The Jessica bracelet up close   It is a texture party on your arm! I mixed all sorts of textures together for the Jessica bracelet.  I hope you all liked it!

Every time I visit LA I always visit Half & Half. If you ever get a chance to visit, I would recommend the Honey Boba. It is not your typical milk tea, but to be honest I really don't know what it is made of exactly.  I just know I'm addicted! ;)

Mr. K and I enjoyed a relaxing Sunday brunch up in the mountains of Burbank after a long weekend.  What a perfect way to end the weekend! I hope you have a great rest of the week!

{Closed} Jewelry Collection Giveaway!

Monday, July 16, 2012

Happy Monday!!  Surprisingly, it is a pretty chilly summer day here in northern California. So I wanted to do a little giveaway for all of you!

As a lot of you know, I have a little shop on Etsy selling jewelry handmade by me. I felt it was only appropriate if I shared these pieces with my readers as well. Here are a few pieces...

First up is the very popular "le chic" bracelet in gold. Now, of course these pictures do not do justice to the bracelet.  See it on Wendy from Wendyslookbook here, and here.

If gold is not your thing here is the silver counterpart.
Le Chic necklace in silver (also available in gold)
And of course, the Le Chic bracelet in silver.

As much as I love gold I also like to incorporate silver in my wardrobe as well. It is often difficult to wear gold fashion jewelry because many fine jewelry is in white gold or platinum. Just look at your wedding set! (or vice versa if your wedding set is gold) So, what better way to wear accessories but to mix the metal colors?

Mix metal fun with silver Charity and gold Athena necklaces below.

Now onto the giveaway!  There will be 1 winner for every 10 entries. For example, if there are 34 entries on this post, then I will be picking 3 winners. Each winner will be able to pick his or her favorite piece shown in this post. The giveaway is INTERNATIONAL and will stay open for 2 weeks.

To enter:
1) Must be a follower of this blog
2) Leave me a comment below letting me know where you are from and which piece you would like to win
3) Follow me on Facebook so I can get to know you better!

Good luck everyone!

As many of you know, I am a big foodie. Not a very good combination with being Asian either! Why you ask? Well, I'm one of those Asian people you see taking pictures of food every chance I can. It has become quite  problem for my SD card and hard drive.

Saying Goodbye to Foie Gras in California

Saturday, June 30, 2012

Hi everyone! I hope your weekend is treating you well so far!

Today is the last day foie gras will be served in California. Sad news but true.  So in honor of goose liver all over California I wanted to share a few pictures with you.

And many more foie gras memories hidden away somewhere on my hard drive, but you get the idea. It is a sad sad day here in California. I  just wanted to say thank you foie gras, you have served all of us Californians well.  See you in Vegas! ;)
