They are both reputable and authorized sellers for Naruko in the U.S

Thank you so much for reading!

9 days late

Monday, January 9, 2012

9 days late. No I'm not talking about my menstrual cycle.

I have been flipping through my old pictures lately. Probably my unconscious way of procrastinating so that I don't have to study. As I flipped through my old pictures I realized all of these experiences need to be recollected and commemorated, because they won't happen the same way with the same people again.

Everything we are changing, hopefully for the better. The people that we surround ourselves with are the ones that influence us the most. So I want to start off the post by saying, I'm grateful to have Mr. K in my life.

This picture was taken after my first YouTube event in Berkley, CA. The person on the other side of the camera was a friend I held very close to my heart.

Time changes us.

Or maybe we shouldn't blame time. Maybe we choose to change.

To be honest, I still think very highly of this friend that once went out of her way for me for numerous occasions.  Whether it be bad luck or plain simple fate, I really wish she was still here.

My theory is, you don't need a lot of friends, just a few REALLY GOOD ones. So I thought I was that lucky girl to have such understanding friends. But time changes even the best of us.

Although people change, some love will never change.
So what? Who cares if people change? We are all changing. What am I trying to say?

Things happen to us for a reason. I don't want to, and won't blame, because I value and still remember all the time spent together, countless laughter, and the friendship.

I hope all you guys can stop to smell the roses, or better yet, take pictures of them! Eat great food and enjoy life to its fullest in 2012!

When French macaroons meet Japanese luxury makeup: Ladurée Les Merveilleuses

Sunday, January 8, 2012

While I contemplate on whether I should keep blogging, I stumbled  upon the soon to be released Abion and Ladurée collaboration called Les Merveilleuses. You guys know I LOVE  Paul and Joe and Jill Stuart products and guess who makes these lines? Albion! How can you go wrong with marrying French macaroon kingdom with my favorite Japanese brands?

The term "Les Merveilleuses" roughly translates to "fabulous divas" or marvelous women, and fabulous women they were! They bathed themselves in luxury and overwhelming decadence. I guess the whole concept of this new line is not that it is practical, but being able to indulge in luxury.

This line will officially be launched in Japan on January 29 according to 25ans.

I can't believe how delicate and feminine these blushes are going to look!! Absolutely stunning!! <3

You might be wondering, why blush? Well during the ages of Les Merveilleuses, playing with roughed cheeks, or what we call "blush" today, meant increasing your feminine allure. So, TADA! Ladurée played around with the textures of the blushes and will be offering blushes in cream, pressed powder and ROSE PETAL forms.

I am dying over this! A pressed powder blush pressed into rose petal form. Available in 3 shades

Another look at this beauty. I can't get enough of this!

Here is the creme cheek formula. Although we are more familiar with this texture, you have not seen cream blush like this before! There will be 5 shades available.

Last but not  least, the pressed powder form, but with 20 shades to choose from!!

To give you an idea of how many different shades will be avilalable in this whole line........

wait for it.....

.....wait a little longer......

YES!!!
I don't know about you, but I want to collect all of them!

Wait!!! Before you start deciding which one you want, I must warn you that it will not be available in the US anytime soon. But we can dream right??

Before you go on daydreaming about these marvelous blushes, here are some prices in Yen for reference:

Pressed petal blush (¥7350 for refill; ¥3150 for case)
Cream blush ( ¥4410)
Pressed powder blush (¥3900 for refill; ¥1575 for case and brush)

Perfect marriage of beauty and luxury. What do you guys think?

To blog or not to blog...that is the question.

I'm super torn!

Since a lot of you know...wait no, since not a lot of you know because I really didn't want to announce on YouTube anything about my private life, I have started grad school last week.

IT IS MAJORLY STRESSFUL!!!  I am getting my masters in Case Management Nursing, and if any of you don't know what it is or even a little bit interested in knowing more about nursing feel free to msg me. Since school started I feel like I have been trying to drink from a fire hydrant! The massive amount of work and information I have to remember is enough to drive me insane, let alone finding time to make videos and blog. In order to stay sane I am debating if I should stop this blog.

What do you guys think?

Why am I telling you guy all this? Well, I'm a major procrastinator. No matter how hard I try I just have to feel the pressure to perform well. So naturally when I was studying earlier today, I started going through my picture files on my computer. To my surprise I have a ton of pictures of my dog.

A few hours later...

Well, I guess that's it for now. Let me know what you guys think I should do about this blog!
